The AIM Centre Project began in 1986 as a protected workshop of the Association for the Physically Disabled. Our protected workshop enables work activities, skills training and personal development for people with disabilities.
Participants come to the AIM Centre to grow, enrich and develop. An average of 40 participants use our centre every week on a part-time or full-time basis. All our participants are involved in contracts and projects which includes anything from assembling products, to packaging of products. Our main contracts are from Lancet Laboratories and Dynamic Distributors.
Meaningful work and job creation are absolutely key in South Africa today, especially for people with disabilities, and the work and income it generates are at the top of our list of priorities. Developing the lives and workplace skills of the participants is our second major objective....
